Features of Sheet Metal Laser Cutter
1. Welding: Square tube welding, the commonly used cast aluminum beam is simple; steel plate welding, high cost; casting bed, high cost and small deformation.

2. Weight: Why does the weight of optical fiber matter? High-speed cutting has a very serious dynamic impact. The weight of the gantry steel pipe welding is 250KG, and the aluminum is 120KG. It will deform during long-term work, so the heavier the weight, the more stable it is, the higher the cutting accuracy, and the smoother the curve.
3. Annealing: During the welding process of the machine tool, the metal will generate pressure. In order to reduce the pressure, it is necessary to burn it in a high-temperature furnace to soften the metal, deform it, and eliminate the pressure. After annealing, the machine tool will reduce deformation during processing or subsequent use, thereby increasing its service life.
4. Plastic spraying: Plastic spraying is to increase the service life of the machine tool and prevent rust. Most manufacturers spray paint, and the cost of plastic spraying is 10 times that of painting.
5. Processing: After welding and annealing, the machine tool must be processed to a certain precision before it can be installed and used. The gantry milling machine is the most critical processing equipment. The core precision of the machine tool is straightness and parallelism, which we can achieve after processing to 0.02mm/3 meters.

Fiber optic cutting machine components
1. Linear guide: Linear guide only plays a guiding role, and its purpose is to guide the gantry to move in a straight line. The straighter the cutting, the higher the precision. The wider the guide, the heavier the load it can bear. High-speed heavy gantry equipment uses wide guides, and its straightness is determined by the accuracy of the reference surface processed by the machine tool. In order to prevent the guide from bending after a long period of movement, there are guide pressure blocks on the sides of the guide.

2. Rack and gear: The gantry moves on a linear guide rail, which requires positioning accuracy. The rack is used for linear positioning. The higher the accuracy of the rack, the higher the size of the cut. It is the most core component. The helical teeth have a large contact area and a large force, which is better than the straight teeth. It has very strict requirements on the reference surface and high requirements on the machining accuracy of the machine tool.

3. Reducer: When the motor rotates at high speed, the torque will become smaller. In order to increase the torque, enhance the positioning rigidity, and make the small circle cutting smooth, a reducer must be added. The commonly used reducers are Japanese Shinpo reducers and French Motoli reducers.

4. Servo motor: Servo motor is an indispensable part of optical fiber and the core configuration of machine tools. The motor performance determines the cutting accuracy, speed and stability. The speed of conventional servo motors is generally 2000-3000 rpm, with Germany being the best, followed by Japan. The power of the servo determines the speed of the machine and the load it drives.

Pneumatic components: After the fiber laser melts the metal, it blows out a gap with gas. Pneumatic components are used to control the gas. The control includes one-way solenoid valves and proportional valves. Oxygen cutting requires a pressure generally lower than 1MP. Generally, a proportional valve is used for precise control. The pressure is set in the software, and the proportional valve is automatically controlled, which is convenient to use. The pressure of nitrogen cutting stainless steel is relatively high, and the proportional valve cannot work. High and low pressure valves are used, and the maximum pressure can reach 3MP. The cut stainless steel has a smooth cross section without burrs.

Cutting head: The entire cutting head is composed of a collimator, a focusing lens, and a protective lens. The collimator is a beam expander that magnifies the light into parallel light. The focusing lens is on the mirror to make the light thinner and the energy more concentrated. The protective lens is to prevent dust from contaminating the focusing lens. The entire cutting head requires good sealing and no dust, otherwise the focusing lens will burn out. The cutting head nozzles are divided into Ø1.5, Ø2, Ø2.5, Ø3, and Ø3.5. For cutting thin materials, a small sample of Ø1-Ø1.5 is generally used, and for thick materials, a double-layer nozzle such as Ø2-Ø3.5 is used.

Fiber optic machines have a large size and are not enclosed, so there has been no good solution for smoke exhaust. Cutting carbon steel produces very little smoke, while stainless steel and galvanized sheets produce relatively large amounts of smoke. Commonly used smoke exhaust heads rely on centrifugal fans to extract smoke, while advanced ones use segmented smoke exhaust. The valve will automatically open when the cutting head moves to a certain area, resulting in a better smoke exhaust effect.
Water chiller
Since the water temperature required by the laser is different from that of the cutting head, most of them use dual-temperature dual-control chillers, with high-temperature output for the cutting head and low-temperature for the laser. In summer, the laser is prone to condensation, so the water temperature of the chiller should be increased. If necessary, an air conditioner should be installed to adjust the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the laser to prevent condensation. In winter, it is easy to freeze, so the coolant should be replaced with antifreeze to prevent the laser from freezing and cracking.
