What is laser welding machine?

Fiber laser welding is a welding technology that uses optical fiber to transmit laser beams. The basic principle is to generate high-voltage light through a laser, transmit it through an optical fiber, focus it into a high-energy light source through a lens, and then irradiate it on the joint of the weldment to melt the local high temperature and finally achieve welding.

Working mechanism of fiber laser welding
‌1.Laser beam generation‌: High-voltage light is generated by the laser.
2‌.Laser beam transmission‌: Light is transmitted to the welding position through the optical fiber.
3‌.Laser beam focusing‌: Light is focused into a high-energy light source by the lens.
4‌.Workpiece alignment‌: Align the workpieces to be welded to ensure that the welding point is within the focal range.
5‌.Laser irradiation‌: The light is irradiated on the weld seam, and local high-temperature melting occurs.
6‌.Melting and fusion‌: The high-temperature melted part quickly merges with the adjacent workpiece material.
‌7.Cooling and solidification‌: The molten area forms a weld joint after a short cooling to achieve connection‌

Features of fiber laser welding
1‌.High energy density‌: The laser beam can release a large amount of energy in a very small area, achieving high-speed and high-quality welding.
2‌.Precise control‌: Lens adjustment can finely control the laser beam focusing ability and spot shape to achieve high-precision welding process control.
‌3.Non-contact operation‌: The laser beam has no direct contact with the workpiece, reducing the risk of damage and deformation to the workpiece.
4‌.Highly automated‌: Can be used with automated equipment to improve the welding efficiency of the production line.
5‌.Strong flexibility‌: Fiber-optic transmission laser welding machines can achieve time and energy splitting, support multi-beam synchronous processing, and meet the needs of precision welding‌
