What is a fiber laser cutting machine
Fiber laser cutting machine is a precision processing equipment that uses fiber laser as a light source. Its core working principle is to focus a high-energy-density laser beam on the surface of the workpiece to melt or vaporize the material instantly, and to control the movement of the beam through a CNC system to achieve automated cutting. The following are its key features:
Technical principle
The fiber laser generates a 1064 nm wavelength laser beam through diode pumping. The beam is focused to a very small spot (about 0.1-0.3 mm in diameter) after being transmitted through the optical fiber to achieve efficient cutting.
During the cutting process, the laser makes the material reach the melting point or boiling point, and at the same time, the high-pressure gas is used to blow away the melt to form a smooth incision.
Core advantages
High efficiency and energy saving: The photoelectric conversion efficiency is as high as 30%, which saves about 20%-30% energy compared to traditional CO2 laser cutting machines.
Precision and speed: The focused spot is small, the power density is high, and the cutting speed is faster, which is suitable for mass production.
Wide range of application: Especially suitable for metal sheet processing (such as stainless steel, aluminum), with low maintenance cost and strong environmental adaptability.
Industry application
Widely used in sheet metal processing, kitchen appliances, lighting advertising, machinery manufacturing and other fields, especially suitable for automatic layout of complex patterns and precision parts cutting.
Compared with CO2 laser cutting machine, fiber laser cutting machine has more advantages in metal processing because of its shorter wavelength, more compact structure and higher cutting efficiency.
