Maintenance of plasma cutting machine

1. Correctly assemble the cutting torch

Install the cutting torch correctly and carefully, ensure that all parts fit well, and ensure that the gas and cooling air flow. Place all parts on a clean flannel cloth during installation to prevent dirt from sticking to the parts. Add appropriate lubricating oil to the O-ring, and do not add more until the O-ring becomes bright.

2. Replace the consumables in time before they are completely damaged

Do not replace the consumables after they are completely damaged, because severely worn electrodes, nozzles and swirl rings will produce uncontrollable plasma arcs, which can easily cause serious damage to the cutting torch. Therefore, when the cutting quality is first found to be reduced, the consumables should be checked in time.

3. Clean the connecting threads of the cutting torch

When replacing consumables or daily maintenance inspections, be sure to ensure that the inner and outer threads of the cutting torch are clean. If necessary, clean or repair the connecting threads.

4. Clean the contact surface between the electrode and the nozzle

In many cutting torches, the contact surface between the nozzle and the electrode is a charged contact surface. If there is dirt on these contact surfaces, the cutting torch will not work properly. It should be cleaned with a hydrogen peroxide cleaning agent.

5. Check the gas and cooling air every day.
