Maintenance of woodworking engraving machines is crucial to extending service life and ensuring processing accuracy. In daily use, maintenance is required from mechanical parts, electrical systems, tools, software and other aspects, as follows:
Mechanical parts maintenance
Regular cleaning: After the engraving machine is working, clean the wood chips and dust on the table, guide rails, and screw rods in time to avoid accumulation that affects accuracy and smooth operation. You can use a brush or vacuum cleaner to clean it, and wipe it with a wet cloth when necessary, but avoid water entering the electrical components.
Lubrication and maintenance: According to the requirements of the equipment manual, regularly add lubricating oil to the guide rails, screw rods, sliders and other components to ensure lubrication effect, reduce wear and extend component life. Generally, lubrication is required every 40 hours of work.
Component inspection and tightening: Frequently check whether the various connecting parts of the engraving machine, such as screws, nuts, couplings, etc., are loose, and tighten them in time to prevent the equipment from running unstably due to loose parts, affecting processing accuracy, or even damaging the equipment. At the same time, check the tension of the belt. Too loose or too tight will affect the transmission effect and need to be adjusted regularly.
Electrical system maintenance
Maintain good heat dissipation: The electrical components of the engraving machine will generate heat when working. To ensure that the cooling system of the equipment is working properly, regularly clean the dust on the cooling fan and heat sink to ensure a good heat dissipation environment and prevent the electrical components from being damaged by overheating.
Prevent electrical failures: Avoid using the engraving machine in a humid and dusty environment to prevent electrical components from being damp and short-circuited. Make sure to turn off the power when plugging and unplugging the electrical plug to prevent electric shock and damage to electrical components. Regularly check whether the wires and cables are damaged or aging, and replace them in time if there are any problems.
Back up data regularly: Regularly back up important data such as processing files and parameter settings in the engraving machine control system to prevent data loss and work delays. At the same time, when updating the control system software, back up the data first to ensure data security during the update process.
Tool maintenance
Correctly select and install tools: According to the processing materials and process requirements, select the appropriate tool and install it correctly. During installation, ensure the concentricity and verticality of the tool to prevent the tool from swinging when rotating at high speed, affecting the processing accuracy and tool life.
Tool wear inspection and replacement: During the engraving process, pay close attention to the wear of the tool. When the tool is worn to a certain extent and affects the processing quality, replace the tool in time. Generally speaking, the tool needs to be replaced when the wear exceeds 1/3 of the blade thickness.
Tool storage: After using the tool, clean the wood chips, glue and other impurities on the tool in time, and then store the tool in a special tool box to avoid tool collision and damage.
Other precautions
Operator training: Operators need to undergo professional training and be familiar with the operation process and precautions of the engraving machine to avoid equipment damage due to misoperation. Operate in strict accordance with the operating procedures. It is strictly forbidden to clean, adjust and other operations while the equipment is running.
Regular accuracy inspection and adjustment: Regularly inspect the accuracy of the engraving machine, such as positioning accuracy, repeated positioning accuracy, verticality, etc. When accuracy deviation is found, make adjustments in time to ensure processing accuracy. Professional detection tools such as laser interferometers and ballbars can be used for detection.
